It sounds like centralization in the name of cost-savings to me; coupled with a nasty frame,
Public witness is Morales’s third priority. He emphasized that the UUA wants to continue working with and empowering congregations at the local level. He referred to the success of the UUA’s Standing on the Side of Love Campaign, which has provided resources and support to congregations to address social justice issues arising in their own communities. “It’s empowered and released the energy and idealism in our congregations. We need to nurture that as we move forward.”Standing on the side of love has sounded nothing more than standing on the side of smugness to me, and contrary to everything that's been offered in my Church on peaceful methods of dialogue. Any good it's done for our Churches a mystry. So how many Churches have availed ourselves of the resources? Any metrics for this endeavor to evaluate how well it's met goals?
