Mike Wallace's interview with Earl Browder from 1957 (Smoking on TV encouraged: My name is Mike Wallace. The cigarette is Philip Morris.).
Stumbled accross it while half way through Charles Eddis's Stephen Fritchman: The American Unitarians and Communism. Was trying to google around for the essays mentioned on page 91: Can A Real Unitarian Be A Real Communist.
Three wrote saying yes. Former US Communist Party secretary Earl Browder, whose father was a Unitarian, said no: a communist was an atheist, which Unitarians were not. Don Harrington also said no. Two of the "yes" writers, Curtis Reese and Alfred Stiernotte, clarifed the meaning or meanings of the word communist as they used it.The book's filled with original documents so maybe more towards the end.
